Henri and Vera Again

Finished painting Henri and Vera’s portraits. Henri’s worked without any dramas –

“Henri O”

Love what Lead White does. Pity it’s illegal to sell it in Australia. Mind you, it’s a bit toxic. Used zinc white on the third coat (first opacity) and lead in the top layer.

It took a lot of work and five coats of paint to get Vera’s likeness right. The initial drawing was a bit off track. Made a big deal of the cupboard knobs.
